About
Welcome to my latest culinary discovery at Delicioso Sterling, a vibrant deli nestled in the heart of Sterling, VA. Located conveniently at 45665 W Church Rd STE 112, this establishment prides itself on serving authentic El Salvadorian and Latin American dishes that leave a delightful mark on your palate. The restaurant's phone number, (703) 444-8567, is just a call away for quick inquiries or to place an order.
Delicioso Sterling stands out not only for its flavors but also for its charmingly unpretentious atmosphere. As I walked in, I was immediately struck by the simple decor that hints at its roots—a hole-in-the-wall haven where the focus is firmly on the food, not the frills. It's this authenticity that has garnered a loyal clientele, as echoed in the rave reviews from satisfied diners.
Despite some quirks like wobbly furniture and a chalkboard menu that feels like it’s from another era—as highlighted by customer Anuj B.—the essence of Delicioso Sterling lies in its unabashed focus on authentic dining experiences. Every bite truly transports you to El Salvador, as reaffirmed by another regular patron Achilleo R., who finds solace in the comforting flavors reminiscent of his travels.
As a food reviewer for Foodjoyy, I can confidently say that Delicioso Sterling is a treasure trove for those who crave genuine Latin fare. The food is simple, honest, and undeniably delicious, making it a destination that deserves a spot on your culinary bucket list.
So whether you’re a local or just passing through, take a moment to visit this gem. Embrace the no-nonsense dining you’ll find here. I assure you, your taste buds will thank you for choosing Delicioso Sterling.
“ Great pupusas. It's difficult to find a good pupusa place. Me and wife needed to eat something quick before our flight. Joe's cafe was really busy and couldn't wait much and decided to go in there and try out the pupusas. ”
“ I decided to review after coming here numerous times. It's a great place, but the only problem I have is that the soups have such large chunks. It ended up being a burden to eat, I mean the soup is good and the service is fast. It's just a pain to eat because the chunks are massive! I think I will just go for the food instead of the soup next time. Overall, I will keep coming back when I want some authentic El Salvadorean food, because it is the closest place I could find in VA that tastes similar to the food I had in San Salvador when on a work trip. ”
“ Your chair and table will be extremely wobbly and probably have leftover carrots/cabbage all over it from the previous diner. What little fabric of your chair remains, will be torn and smell funny. The floors will look dirty and dingy. The menu is written in chalk from the mesozoic era. The credit card machine is perpetually broken. No one speaks English. This restaurant deserves 5 stars. But, I didn't drive to a strip-mall in Sterling to attend a dining experience at the Capital Grille. I came to a hole-in-the-wall joint to eat, nay, experience, some awesome El Salvadorian food. If you come here and order the egg, ham, and cheese sandwich, you are an idiot. If you come here and ask for the cheeseburger with pepperjack, you are a moron. This is El Salvador, order a freaking pupusa already. No frills, no nonsense, no bullshit. No hipsters (they haven't found this place yet). Recommended dishes: pork pupusas, beef tacos, chicken torta, plantains. ”
